1 About This Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how CatchMyBus ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the CatchMyBus Apple Watch application. CatchMyBus is operated by an independent developer based in Brooklyn, New York.

By using CatchMyBus, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

2 Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. CatchMyBus does not require an account, login, name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information to function.

3 Data Stored on Your Device

CatchMyBus stores your saved favorite bus stops locally on your Apple Watch using Apple's standard on-device storage (UserDefaults). This data:

4 Third-Party Services

CatchMyBus uses the MTA Bus Time API provided by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority of New York to retrieve real-time bus arrival information. When the App fetches bus data, your device makes a network request directly to MTA's servers.

CatchMyBus does not use any advertising SDKs, analytics platforms, crash reporting services, or other third-party tracking services.

5 Location Data

CatchMyBus does not request access to your location. The App does not use Location Services, GPS, Wi-Fi positioning, or any other location-based technology. You navigate to bus routes and stops manually within the App.

6 Analytics and Diagnostics

CatchMyBus does not include any analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting software. We do not receive data about how you use the App, how often you open it, or what features you access.

Apple may collect aggregate, anonymized diagnostics data through standard watchOS systems if you have enabled "Share iPhone & Watch Analytics" in your device Settings. This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and is not accessible to CatchMyBus.

7 Advertising

CatchMyBus contains no advertisements and does not use any advertising networks or SDKs. We do not track you for advertising purposes, build advertising profiles, or sell your data to advertisers. Ever.

8 Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with any third party — because we do not collect any personal data to share in the first place.

9 Children's Privacy

CatchMyBus does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13, or children under 16 in the European Union. Because the App does not collect personal data from any user, it is safe for use by all ages.

10 Data Security

Because CatchMyBus does not collect or store personal data on external servers, there is no personal data at risk of a server-side breach. The only data stored is your favorites, which reside on your device and are protected by the security measures built into watchOS and your Apple Watch.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data under laws such as the GDPR (European Union), CCPA (California), or other applicable regulations. Because CatchMyBus does not collect or process personal data, there is no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete. You are welcome to contact us at any time with questions.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
